N-POWER Records Massive Application

A federal government initiative aimed at providing employment and lifelong skill for the Nigerian youth, under the social adjustment program tagged N-POWER, has kicked started and recorded a huge turn up. The portal www.npower.gov.ng which was launched on Saturday 11th of June 2016 at 11.pm, received massive web traffic which according to media reports is the reason why the website crashed.

It has been gathered that as at Mon. June 13, over 403, 528 applicants have registered successfully, and according to MR. Afolabi Imoukhede, the senior special assistant to the president on job creation, “we are very pleased that the registration has been taking place without any hitches or system failures, considering the volume of response”.  Although many people are yet to register, there have been complaints that the site is not responding
